Thomas Allbritain
A funeral service for Thomas W. Allbritain, 73, of Newark, OH, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Chuck Mahoney officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH.
Tom passed away August 23, 2026, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born November 2, 1952, in Cambridge, OH, to the late John Bernard and Naomi Susan (Oliver) Allbritain.
Tom graduated from Buckeye Trail High School and later retired from Kokosing Construction. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and especially enjoyed listening to Licking Valley football. Tom cherished watching his children and grandchildren participate in horse shows and sporting events, always taking great pride in cheering them on and supporting their accomplishments. He will be remembered for his love of family, his many interests, and the memories he created with those he loved.
He is survived by wife of 50-years, Sherri (Wright) Allbritain; children, Melanie Duffy and Stephen (Jeanna) Allbritain; granddaughter, Madalynn (Braxton) Wade, and Hannah and Hadley Allbritain; great-granddaughter, Blair Wade; siblings, Dawn Mann-Thompson, Karen Cook, and Nancy (Fred) Wilson, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Ann Wilson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Alma Wright, and four brothers-in-law.
The family would like to express their special thanks to his caregiver, Jess Starkey, for the compassionate care and kindness she provided.
