Thomas R. Dawson, age 82, of Newark passed away on December 24, 2025, at Hearth Brook Assisted Living. Thomas was born on July 28, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert K. and Beverly A. (Robinson) Dawson.

He proudly served in the US Army. Thomas was a member of the UAW. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing and gardening.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Norma R. Dawson; daughter, Lisa (Patrick) Stalling; grandchildren, Dustin (Zach) Sherman, Allegra (Josh) Tayor, Amber Sherman, Luke (Zoe Smith) Sherman; great grandchildren, Jayden Vernon, Hayden Taylor, Wyatt and Gracelyn Pelton; sister, Judy (Mike) Myers; brother-in-law, David Burrier; niece, Robyn Traywick.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Sherman and brother, Bobby Dawson
