Thomas "Tom" Edward Bryant, 71, of Newark, died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at his home. He was born August 16, 1952 in Newark to the late Edward Bryant and Jennie (Wilson)Bryant.

Tom retired from Owens Corning in 2013 after 41 years. He enjoyed reading and learning about the historical wars in U.S. history and especially enjoyed researching the Civil War. Tom enjoyed golfing, rooting for the Buckeyes and Indians/Guardians, genealogy, traveling, eating out for breakfast, and listening to all genres of music. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Terri; daughter, Jessica (Aaron) Dagres; son, Jacob (Taylor) Bryant; grandchildren, Quinn, Anthony and Karter; sisters, Carolyn (Stan) Block of Washington state and Mary (Ken) Harrop of Columbus; his beloved four legged companion, Gibbs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dottie Ann Cramer.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tom to the Licking Memorial Health Foundation. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1-5 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark.
