Thomas William Hall, age 85, of Thornville passed away on April 30, 2026, at Violet Springs in Pickerington, Ohio. He was born November 17, 1940, in Ashland, Ohio to the late C. Karl and Dorothy Louise (Adams) Hall.
Thomas graduated from Coshocton High School in 1958 and the Ohio State College of Business in 1964. He began his insurance career in December 1964, with Pioneer Mutual Insurance Company, where he was an assistant V.P. of standard personal lines of business. In February 1969, he joined the Republic-Franklin Insurance Company, where he held the positions of personal and commercial lines underwriter, senior field supervisor, special program marketing coordinator, and V.P. of services. He earned a CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriting) designation in 1975. Thomas served on the Board of Directors for the Central Ohio Underwriters Association. In 1984 he was named Services Manager for Utica National Insurance Company and held that position until his retirement in December 2002. He was a previous resident of Minerva Park, where he served as a member of village council, president of the civic association, and secretary/board member of the swim club. He was a member of the Central College Presbyterian Church where he served as a trustee, money counter, refreshment greeter, and was a charter member of the “CovenantKeepers” men’s group. He was also a member of the Westerville Senior Center and Westerville Senior Men’s Golf League.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Kay (Conkle) Hall; daughter, Cami Michelle (Troy) Packham; 4 grandchildren, Dominick (Tori) Packham, Garrett (Ashley) Smith, Camryn (Shaun) Swonger, and Collin (Hayley) Packham; and 6 great-grandchildren, Carter Coffin, Cash Smith, Vincent Packham, Lorenzo Smith, Giavanna Smith, and Penelope Swonger.
Visiting hours will be from 10am - 12pm Friday, May 8, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 12pm, at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark, Ohio, 43055. A graveside service at Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville, Ohio will take place immediately following the funeral service, Pastors Dave Mason and Wally McLaughlin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Thomas’ memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas, 75231.
