Timothy Alan Buxton, age 68, of Newark, passed away on September 19, 2025. Timothy was born on June 16, 1957, in Newark to the late Charles Fred and Winifred Marie (Howell) Buxton.

He graduated from Heath High School / Licking County JVS in 1975. Timothy married the love of his life Sharon on October 10, 1981. He bravely battled ALS. He was a member of the Masonic Aerospace 800 since 1981. Timothy was an artist and loved to draw and paint especially flames. He was a Jack of all trades, and loved classic cars, and collecting Jack Daniels items. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Allen) Buxton; son, Joshua Alan Buxton; grandson, Wesley Jacob Abbott Buxton; sisters, Bev Buxton, Cindy Wheeler; brothers-in-law, Donald Allen, Steven Allen, Gordon Allen; like a brother, Patrick (Nancy) Ault; sister-in-law, Heather Allen; uncle, Paul Bud Kennedy; fur babies, Joey and Issy; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert (Lucy McKean) Howell, Carol Wyeth Buxton, Benjamin (Vivian) Buxton, Howard Delmar Chapman; in-laws, Thomas (Maria Shaw) Allen Jr.; brother-in-law, Brian Allen; aunts, Margie Williams, Ginny (Joe) Mattox, Roberta Jane (Pete) Luckeydoo, Sally Ann (Howell) Kennedy; uncles, Donald (Sarah) Buxton, James (Shirley) Buxton, Gerald (Ruth) Buxton, and Robert Buxton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 11 - 1 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, where his service will immediately follow at 1 pm with Claude Mathis officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.
