Obituary

Tom Dutcher, 90, of Newark, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Tom shared 69 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Judy Dutcher. Together they built a family rooted in love, hard work, and unwavering support. He was a devoted husband, proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy in life was the people he loved.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; his daughters, Tammy (Jackie) Dutcher, Tracy (Rennie) Bare, and Kim (Doug) Marmie; his sister Connie Levingston and sister-in-law Sue Dutcher; his cherished grandchildren, Chase (Kassy) Ramsey, Kelsie (Allen) Martin, Madison (Storm) Speelman, Tanner Marmie, and Jagger Bare; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Liam and Brooks Ramsey, Dakota, Oliver, and Hazel Martin, and McCoy and Wells Speelman.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Dutcher; his parents; and his siblings.

Tom proudly served his country in the Air Force from 1954-1958 and later dedicated 38 years to Western Electric. He spent his retirement golfing and working at Willow Run Golf Course.

Tom was rarely still. He loved reading, working outside, and taking on projects big and small. If something needed to be repaired, built, or improved, he was already figuring out how to do it. He gave so much of himself: his time, his talents, and his wisdom to the people around him, especially his family.

The lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he poured into his family will remain with them forever. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will carry pieces of him with them always, especially his work ethic and quiet strength.

Life will never be the same without Tom. He was deeply loved, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will not be held.
