Tracy Ellen
Lehman
Feb 16, 1959 — Jul 9, 2025
Newark
Tracy Ellen Lehman, 66, of Newark, died Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born February 16, 1959 in Belmont County, OH to the late Keith Staggers and Sandra (Holmes) Morlen.
Tracy, affectionately known as "Wonder Squirrel," leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and boundless love. She served as a therapeutic crisis foster parent, dedicating her life to helping and changing the lives of hundreds of children. A truly spectacular foster parent, she offered not just a home, but hope, healing, and heart. Her strong faith guided her path, and she instilled that same faith in the many children she cared for.
Though small in stature, she was mighty in spirit. She had a way of filling every moment with purpose and joy—never letting anyone be bored for long. Her vibrant personality shone through in everything she did, from her playful love of Candy Crush to her peaceful hours spent fishing, gardening, or mowing while listening to her favorite music. Her happiest times were those spent with her family. She expressed her deep love through laughter, hugs, and what she lovingly called "good lovens." Often with another known quote, "Take it like a woman." She made sure everyone in her life knew they were valued and cherished. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and faith that will live on in the countless lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Michael; children, Sandy Spicer, Matt Lehman, Tori (Kwenn) Lehman-Chance, Marcia (Luke) Flowers and Michelle (James) Messina; grandchildren, RaeRae, Eric, Carson, Kaiden, Jordiana, Braydon, Gracie, Sophia and Logan; great granddaughter, P-Rae; and siblings, Steve, Scott, Richie, Marlana, Jimmy, Becky and Larana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kelly.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tracy to Hospice of Central Ohio.
