Trapper John Jay Crumet, 69, of Newark, died Friday, September 6, 2024 at his home. He was born August 25, 1955 in Newark to the late Ray and Helen (Collier) Crumet Jr.

Trapper John enjoyed tinkering on all things electronic from electronic airplanes to RC cars. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and watching old Western movies especially if they featured John Wayne. He had a gift of fixing and building guitars.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy; children, Megan Crumet, Tamra Crumet, Rayanne Crumet and Alice Crumet; step children, Wilson Pennell, Camilla Ohde and Galen Worstel; 10 grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Kristen Trotter Rosdhall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by great grandson, Luxton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home to help the family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 5-7 pm and Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 1-3 pm with a time for memory sharing following visitation at 3:00 pm.
