Obituary

Virginia L. "Jane" Lombardo, age 89, of Heath, passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center surrounded by her loving family on July 21, 2025. Virginia was born on October 14, 1935, to the late Orville and Pearl (Nethers) Parsons, in Newark, Ohio.

Some of Jane's hobbies were going shopping, flowers, baking, cooking delicious meals, and watching western movies. She loved the Lord and liked watching Pastor Jimmy Swaggart on the television. Jane worked for the Heath City Schools for over 20 years as a cook. She enjoyed taking trips to Myrtle Beach with her family and most importantly she loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Jane liked to watch and feed the birds and squirrels. Those who knew her knew she had a heart of gold and did not know a stranger.

Jane is survived by her loving children, Frank (Christy) Lombardo, Diana (Will) Loewendick, Joe (Joyce) Lombardo; grandchildren, Lindsay (Ryan) Wahl, Natasha (Eric) Lauvray, James McCullough Lombardo; great grandchildren, Caden, Paige and Gianna Simons, Brice Carpenter, Kolsen, Kash, and Beckytt; sister, Nancy (Larry) Poston; many special nieces, nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Augustus Lombardo; son, Jeff Lombardo; grandchildren, Mike and Staci Carpenter; sisters, Donna Jean Vaiea, Barbara Clark; and brother, Joe Parsons.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 2 - 4 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Her service will be held on Monday, at 1 PM with Pastor Dave Mason officiating. A burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr Graham and staff, Dr. Anand and staff, Dr. Gowda and staff, Altercare Newark North, the Hospice of Central Ohio, Licking Memorial Hospital, floors 2 and 5, and the 6 floor Selma Markowitz Care Center, the staff was truly amazing. Her great neighbors Kathy and Dave, Frankie and James.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Central Ohio or to the Licking County Humane Society.
