William "Bill" L. Atkinson, 81, of Heath, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. He was born September 7, 1943 in Zanesville to the late Jack and Eloise Atkinson.

Bill graduated from Westerville High School class of 1961. He built Williamsburg Square in Frazeysburg in 1971. He moved to Florida in 1990 and retired in 2006 from Avon Park Correctional Institute. He was a 50 year member of Nashport Irville Lodge F&AM #184. William enjoyed golfing, baking and instant lottery tickets.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, Evan (Stacy) Atkinson of Frazeysburg, Jack (Kim) Atkinson of Mt. Vernon and Michael (Becky) Shryock of Frazesburg; daughter, Michele (Andy) Novak of Coshocton; eight grandchildren: and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Atkinson and John Sneeden.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to Hospice of Central Ohio.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
