William Seth Powell, Jr, age 82, of Newark, passed away at his home Saturday, September 21, 2024. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on February 16, 1942, to the late William Seth and Ida Fay (McClure) Powell, Sr.

William was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

He is survived by his sons, William Seth Powell III and Lance Brian Powell; grandchildren, Logan Powell, Bonnie (Gavin) Barnes, Lauren Powell, and Conner Powell; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Powell, Joyce Curley, and Sandi (Sonny) Cunningham; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dawn (Stanley) Powell.
