William C. Raver, age 82, of Heath, passed away peacefully at Riverside Hospital with family by his side, on January 22, 2024. He was born on October 5, 1941, to the late Andrew and Opal (Wilson) Raver,

Bill graduated from Watkins Memorial High School in 1959, and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1960, serving honorably for 23 years, retiring as SMSGT, or Senior Master Sergeant.

Bill loved spending holiday time with family and he loved the game of golf, making many good golfing buddies through the years.

He is survived by brothers, Gerald (Deb) Raver and Ernest Raver; sisters, Martha (Larry) Kershner, Rebecca (Bill) Compton; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Raver; sisters, Barbara Raver and Marilyn Trammell

The family will gather on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. for a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, Oh 43055, Pastor Wally McLaughlin officiating.  Burial will follow with Military Honors at Newark Memorial Gardens, 4244 Marion Rd. NE, Newark, OH 43055.  Please join us for lunch back at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home after the burial.
