William "Wild Bill" Paul Townsend, age 69, of Newark, passed away on June 11, 2025. William was born on September 22, 1955, in Newark, to the late Allen Leroy Townsend and Virginia Lee (Mills) Heimberger.                                                                                                                      He proudly served in the United States Army, was a member of the Heath Eagles, and enjoyed riding his Harley.
William is survived by his significant other, Paulette D. Francis; children, Billy A Townsend, Michelle (Brandon) Hagemann, Gary (Paula) Martin, Carl Hawkins, Hope (Tylor) Pimental; grandchildren, Shyanne and Austin Townsend, Amanda and Riley Hagemann, Courtney and Emma Martin, Logan, Kyndal and Chase Pimental; Peyton Hendershot; sister, Sandra (Dave) Mercer; brother, Dale (Pam) Townsend; step-sister, Terri (Rowdy) West; great niece, Sandra Peterson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, his ex-wife, Patricia Townsend; granddaughter, Kayleigh Hagemann; and brother, Joe Townsend.
The family would like to thank all friends/family who supported him through his battle.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1pm at the Heath Eagles on Hollander Street in Newark, Ohio.
