William Bertran Weakley

A Celebration of Life for William Bertran Weakley, 83, of Newark, OH, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May10, 2025, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor David Linn officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Bill passed away May 5, 2025, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1942, in Newark, OH, to the late William Franklin and Betty Lee (Ball) Weakley.

Bill was a 1960 graduate of Newark High School. He retired from Owens Corning. Bill was a member of Heath Church of Christ, IHRA Drag Racing Association, NHRA, and a lifetime member of Newark Masonic Lodge #97.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Louise (Carlyle) Weakley; sons, Stephen (Triscia) Weakley of FL and Matthew (Alana) Gayheart of Newark; daughter, Shelly (Steve) Hobbs of FL; brother, Eddie (Leila) Weakley; granddaughter, Autumn, and several nieces, and one nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barb Six.
